Two Rivers Buddy Ball is a non-profit sports league for kids ages 5-20 with any disability mental or physical that would keep them from playing on a regular league. We are committed to offer this league free of any charge with the help of the many sponsors that have stepped up to help us. This league was first formed in 2008 with 43 kids playing baseball. In 2009 we expanded to offer an annual fishing tournament for the kids and basketball. We added bowling, cheerleading and soccer in 2010. In 2011 we added a swimming program and a annual Special Needs Awareness Fair that is open to the public and for kids and adults with disabilities. New for 2012 we are adding the annual Jared Payne Memorial Mini Golf Scramble scheduled for Oct 6th. For information on your child playing or if you would like to help sponsor our kids please feel free to contact us.

Our Owensboro/Daviess County community is fortunate to have numerous organizations to help serve and enhance the quality of life of individuals with special needs, both young and old. We are proud to be part of a large scale celebratory fundraising event March 23, 2013 to support Ability Awareness in our community (March is Disability Awareness month). There are six local non-profit organizations involved: Puzzle Pieces, Wendell Foster’s Campus for Developmental Disabilities, Dream Riders of Kentucky, Team Karlie, Two Rivers Buddy Ball and Green River Area Down Syndrome Association who are collaborating together to host an event in Downtown Owensboro to honor individuals who have unique qualities and abilities. The event will start and end at English Park in downtown Owensboro. Please follow this link below for information and registration for this event
